Quality of Life

Improving the Quality of Life for all is the foundation of the Detroit Works Strategic Framework Plan. Our expert team of urban planners, economists, and architects have identified 14 separate elements when combined make up the overall quality of life of people who live, work, play and worship in Detroit.

Additionally, through our civic engagement activities Detroiters have indicated the quality of life elements that are most important to them are: safety; education; public services; a sense of community; retail services; social capacity; physical environment; culture; career opportunities; recreation, health, and mobility.
