The Detroit Works Project wants more public input before it issues its final recommendations for improving the city. Organizers are holding more community meetings on specific parts of the program—including economic development and neighborhoods. WDET’s Pat Batcheller got an update on the Detroit Works Project from committee member Heaster Wheeler.

    When will the City of Detroit have grant funds available to homeowners outside of the original target areas for home inprovement projects?  I live in a decent area “Crary St.Mary’s” and need a little help with home improvements. But right now through Citizens Bank loans are available to me, but right across the street in Rosedale Park, they have grants.
