The Detroit Works Project enters a new phase next week.

Organizers will officially unveil their strategic plan, called Detroit Future City, during a news conference on January 9th.

It will include ideas for land use, job creation, and neighborhood revitalization.

Dan Pitera is the co-lead for the project’s Long Term Civic Engagement Team. He’s worked for the past several months making sure city residents and community groups took active roles in the process.

He spoke with WDET’s Jerome Vaughn.
